The First Child Ep. 4

The one week James had given Emily passed quickly. Each day he watched her, waiting to see if she would change her mind. But Emily held her ground. She fed the baby, cleaned the house, and went about her duties, but she never once mentioned the hospital. On the seventh day, James sat in the living room while Emily bathed the baby. When she came out, holding the child wrapped in a soft towel, James cleared his throat. “Emily,” he began quietly, “I gave you one week. That week has ended. Are you ready now to take this child to the hospital?” Emily did not answer immediately. She carried the baby to the bedroom, dressed him, and then returned to the sitting room. James was still waiting. “Emily, I am talking to you,” he said firmly. She sighed. “James, how many times will I say it? I am not going anywhere. Stop pressing me. I will not do any DNA test. I will not do any hospital test. You are the father of this child, and that is final.” James leaned forward, trying to remain calm. “If I a...

Pregnant Before Wedding Day FINAL EPISODE

Lily finally gathered herself and returned to John. With shaky steps and a heavy heart, she told him that Mekus had once again rejected her. She pleaded with John to fulfill his promise of going with her to speak to Mekus. John agreed, though he was disappointed at how everything had turned out. On the agreed day, they both went to Mekus’s house. Lily’s heart pounded all through the journey. She hoped this would be her last chance to make things right. Mekus welcomed them politely, but he was not smiling.

John began speaking slowly, his voice steady and clear. He said, “Mekus, I know this may feel strange, but I came here to tell you the truth. I have nothing to gain by standing here today. I only want peace. Lily has made many mistakes, and I do not support what she did, but I must tell you the truth as a man. This pregnancy belongs to you.” He looked directly into Mekus’s eyes. Lily kept her head low, ashamed of everything that had happened.

Mekus folded his arms and listened, saying nothing yet. John continued, “When I met Lily, she was already carrying this child. She wanted to pin the pregnancy on me. She begged me, tried to make me sleep with her, but I refused. Later, I found out she was desperate to hide the truth. She admitted it to me herself that this baby belongs to you. I cannot marry her because of the lies, but I believe you deserve to know the full truth.” His words filled the room with silence.

Lily’s tears started flowing. She raised her head and whispered, “Mekus, please forgive me. I was foolish. I thought life was about riches and position. I left you for someone else, but my heart has never been at peace since then. I know I hurt you, and I regret it every single day. Please don’t turn me away again. I am carrying your child. Don’t let our baby grow without you.” Her voice cracked as she pleaded, but Mekus sat still, his eyes fixed on the floor.

After a long pause, Mekus finally spoke. “Lily, I will not lie. You broke me. When you left, it felt like the world rejected me. But I stood up, I worked hard, and I moved forward. Now you want to return, but I cannot go back to the pain you caused me. I have made my decision. I cannot take you back as my lover or wife. That chapter is closed forever.” His words came out calmly, but they cut like a sharp knife into Lily’s heart.

He continued, “I am not a wicked man. If this child is mine, I will take care of the baby. But before that, we will wait until the child is born. Then, there will be a DNA test to confirm. If the child is truly mine, I will accept the child with love and raise him or her with dignity. But as for you and me, Lily, we are finished. I cannot love you the same way again. You chose another man over me, and that choice cannot be undone.”

Lily dropped to her knees, weeping bitterly. She begged, “Please, Mekus, don’t do this to me. I know I made a mistake, but people change. Give me one more chance. Let us raise this child together. Don’t let me face this world alone.” Her tears soaked the floor, but Mekus stood firm. He shook his head and replied, “Lily, you must live with the choices you made. You left me when I was struggling. You never believed in what I could become. But now I know my worth. I cannot take you back.”

John then spoke again, his voice calm. “Lily, you must accept this. You have to learn from this pain. A woman should never abandon a man just because he is poor. Life changes, and nobody stays down forever. You left Mekus when he had nothing, and today, he has become a better man. Let this be a lesson to you and to everyone who will hear this story. Money is not everything. Love and loyalty are far greater treasures.” His words were like a gentle rebuke, yet filled with wisdom.

The meeting ended with tears. Lily picked up her bag slowly. She knew it was truly over. Mekus had made his decision, and John had spoken the truth. She walked out of the house with shaky steps. Her eyes were red and swollen. She felt like the whole world had closed its doors against her. Both men she wanted had left her. Now, she was left with nothing but her unborn child. As she stepped outside, she wished she could turn back time, but it was too late.

That night, Lily returned to her house and cried until her body grew weak. She lay on her bed, thinking of how her life had turned upside down. She whispered to herself, “I lost John. I lost Mekus. And all because of my greed. Now I have nothing.” Her tears soaked her pillow as she held her stomach. She knew the only thing left was her unborn baby. That was how Lily lost out in two relationships. And that was how her dream of love ended in pain.

THE END

The First Child Ep. 3

James woke up early on Monday morning. He had been thinking all night. Emily’s refusal to do a DNA test had left him restless. He could not focus at work, and every time he looked at the baby, the doubt grew stronger. By 9am, he drove to the hospital alone. He didn’t take the baby with him because he wanted to first ask some questions before deciding on the next step. When he arrived, he went to the reception and asked to speak with a doctor. A few minutes later, he was shown into a small office. The doctor, a middle-aged man with glasses, greeted him warmly. “Good morning, Mr. James. How can I help you today?” James sat down and leaned forward. “Doctor, I have an unusual question. Is it possible for two white parents to give birth to a black baby?” The doctor looked thoughtful. “It is possible, but it is very rare. In some cases, the child may have inherited certain genes from past generations. In other rare cases, it could be a medical condition affecting the skin.” James nodded slow...

Pregnant Before Wedding Day Ep. 4

Lily arrived at Dr. John’s house just before sunset. The streets were quiet, and the air was soft with the smell of the evening breeze. She carried a small bag in one hand and used the spare keys he had given her to unlock the door. Inside, the apartment felt warm and familiar. She walked to the kitchen without removing her shoes, already thinking of the meal she was about to prepare. It had to be perfect—his favorite food, made with care. She believed that tonight could change everything for her. She moved through the kitchen slowly, setting out the ingredients and humming softly. The sound of the knife against the cutting board filled the room. As she stirred the pot, steam curled into the air, carrying the rich smell of spices. She imagined the smile on Dr. John’s face when he walked in and saw her effort. The table was set neatly at the dining area, plates and glasses lined up as if they were expecting important guests. By the time she finished cooking, the apartment smelled like c...

The First Child Ep. 2

Emily is distraught. She was in her room with her baby. James’s words from the night before kept echoing in her head. "We must have a DNA test. I don’t want to raise another man’s child." Her husband had said. She had told herself over and over again that morning that she would not do it. No matter how much James insisted, she was not going to any hospital for a DNA test. She was tired, weak, and still recovering from childbirth. She also felt insulted that her own husband would accuse her of cheating. When James returned from work that evening, she was ready with her answer. “James,” she said as he entered the room, “I am not doing any DNA test. I am not going anywhere.” James stopped in the middle of the room. “What did you just say?” “You heard me. I am not following you to any hospital. I will not do it.” His eyes were fixed on her. “So you are hiding something. That explains it.” Emily frowned. “I am not hiding anything. I just will not subject myself to this insult.” Ja...
